More specifically, Whitsunday Springs is pioneering environmental initiatives including:
- Reversal of the outflow into the Great Barrier Reef marine park
- Use of Class A recycled water to irrigate private gardens, parklands and for flushing toilets. This ground breaking strategy will effectively drought proof

- Re-establish existing degraded creeks and lakes on site
